Did you know that Gender can be like a Galaxy where everyone gets to be their very own star?
In space, no star is better than any other one, because there is no hierarchy (or up and down, for that matter!).
Some may look similar to one another from far away, but once you take the time to get to know them you realize that they’re ALL unique and have their own beauty, complexities and experiences.
There are SO many stars that we don’t know about, and that doesn’t make them any less real or any less of a star.
Every one of them moves and changes and shifts throughout its life, and doesn’t need to compare itself to any other star in order to feel real.
Sounds pretty great huh?
The thing is… stars literally exist in a vacuum… and we don’t.
Many of us live and exist in places and spaces where the gender binary puts pressure on us and expects us to look certain ways, act certain ways, and feel certain ways – and it can hurt.
But know this: We are stars – in it, around it, between it, and no where near it – shining so bright.
