JOB TITLE: Internal Liaison – Anti.Violence.Project

JOB DESCRIPTION: The Internal Liaison is responsible for maintaining communication among staff and volunteers and using social media to promote the Anti.Violence.Project (AVP). The Internal Liaison is responsible for updating AVP social media such as Facebook and website, and could also include regularly contributing to the AVP Blog. The Internal Liaison will attend staff and volunteer meetings as required, and must be able to attend the AVP Volunteer Training (40 hrs). Additionally, the Internal Liaison will be responsible for coordinating a Social Committee of one or two volunteers, who will organize social events for volunteers and staff (2 per year), and for producing a monthly internal newsletter. The Internal Liaison will participate in other projects as they arise.
QUALIFICATIONS:The Internal Liaison will have a strong anti-oppressive feminist analysis of issues related to gender-based violence and abuse. They must be able to work independently and as part of a team of paid and volunteer staff, and must be organized, self-motivated and creative.
