New “editor”, also please submit
I’m Kate, and I’m a student here at UVic. This is my first year volunteering with AVP and so far this journey has been a powerful learning experience. I’m a little more of a Computer Science person, than a writer-on-the-web person, but that’s going to change. I’m really excited to be a part of the AVP website and combine my passion for webdesign with my love for this project!
Three things I learned by being a volunteer are!
- How much I didn’t know about systemic violence (and that I didn’t know I didn’t know)
- How much other folks in my community are also unaware of many of these issues
- How much I care about online publishing and public discourse!
This brings me to a really important point: AVP is currently looking for contributors and submissions.
