We’re hiring a work study student!

We’re hiring a work study to join our fabulous team for the 2018/19 school year! We have 340 hours at $16 per hour available. Students must be eligible for the UVic Work Study program (see link for more information and how to apply).

Every year, the work study helps us tackle new projects, as well as support our administrative tasks. This year, the work study will be primarily supporting our sibling project May I? Service Industry Sexualized Violence Prevention, which is a local group of restaurant and bar employees, educators and workers’ rights activists who address sexualized violence in the service industry.

If you’re interested in working with/in sexual assault centres and/or social justice organizations, and are passionate about ending sexualized and gender-based violence, send in a resume and cover letter! Click here to check out the full job description. (PDF file will open in a new window.) We’ll be reviewing all received applications by October 9th, and making a decision then.

This position is restricted to self-identified women, gender-non conforming, and non-binary applicants only. In support of employment equity and in order to increase our relevancy and diversity of skills, knowledge and experience, AVP strongly encourages self-identified people of colour, people with disabilities, Indigenous, queer, and transgender people to apply.
