AVP is looking for our next Volunteer and Outreach Officer! This is a student position exclusively for UVic undergraduate students. Are you looking for engaging and fun casual work? Are you interested in ending gender based and sexualized violence? Do you have experience coordinating volunteers, and working within social justice organizations or non-profits? We want to hear from you!
This position is 10-15 hours per week, pays $16.92/hour, and is a 1-year unionized contract position with United Steelworkers. Most hours are completed during AVP office hours, Monday-Friday, 9-5, with some evenings and weekends.
The person in this role will work with a collaborative team to support AVPs education, support, and outreach programs. They will assist in AVP’s annual volunteer training, facilitating workshops, developing outreach and social media materials, and be a main point of contact for AVP’s amazing community of volunteers.
