February 14th is the annual Memorial March in honour of missing and murdered Indigenous women, girls and Two-Spirit people (MMIWG2S).

UVic Gender Empowerment Centre have collaborated this year with us and UVic Native Students Union to create three events connected events to commemorate this important day and highlight it’s relevance in our wider conversation about gender and sexuality.

11am – 12pm: Reading Circle of “If I Go Missing” by Nahanni Shingoose | Presented by NSU
12pm – 1:30pm: Community Lunch
2-3:30pm: Colonization & Gender-Based Violence | Presentation by Carol Bilson of AVP
