Next week at AVP
The end of the semester is a busy time, and at AVP there is no exception! There is lots going on this week and beyond, such as:
- November 29th, film screening of Marker of Change: the story of the womens movement PLUS panel discussion
- December 1st, film screening of Finding Dawn PLUS panel discussion
- December 17th, Red Umbrella March
AVP will also have a table set up outside the Michelle Pujol room in the SUB Wednesday the 7th, and Wednesday the 14th. There will be resources, buttons, info about events, and people to chat to, so please drop by!
PEERS Backpack Project and Clothing Drive:
PEERS is collecting sturdy new backpacks filled with essential items to give to their clients, including those that are transient or homeless. They are looking for things such as gloves, socks, toiletries ( shampoo, deodorant, etc.) and a few gift items.
We are also collecting used and new coats, and other warm accessories like hats and mittens.
There will be a box in the AVP office, and at the SUB table for donations! THANK YOU!
You can learn more about these happenings on the Events page, AVP facebook page, or at the office!
