*Closed* AVP is Hiring! We’re Searching for an Outreach Coordinator.

Are you passionate about ending sexualized and gender-based violence? Do you have awesome outreach skills? Would you like to work with a small collaborative team of dedicated, skilled, and supportive folks? Now is the time for you to apply to join the AVP staff team. We’re hiring an Outreach Coordinator!

This role will involve managing the Anti-Violence Project’s (AVP’s) social media presence and outreach campaigns, designing and distributing posters and brochures, acting as a spokesperson for AVP, and working to maintain our website. There’s also lots of flexibility in this position to bring your passions and develop campaigns and events to support and engage UVic students, as well as our wider community. In addition to communications and outreach experience, we’re also looking for someone who has experience working with/in social justice spaces and lenses. This is a 24 hour a week 3-year term position that pays $25.94/hr plus vacation pay, yearly pay increases and sweet benefits like medical/dental coverage. Please note that you will have the option to work up to 35 hours per week until April 30th, 2022, at which time the flexible work hours will be reviewed for possible renewal.

Working with the Anti-Violence Project means being part of a diverse and collaborative unionized work environment.
